About Bryn Hyndman, MD
I graduated from Dalhousie University in 2000 with a BSc in Kinesiology. Shortly thereafter I become a health and wellness enthusiast and enrolled in naturopathic school.
I worked in London, England as a naturopath and decided there was more to learn. I followed my curiosity and in 2010, I graduated from St. Matthew’s University with my MD. I would eventually complete my Family Medicine residency at the University of Ottawa in 2014 and start a Family practice and Functional Medicine private practice in Vancouver, BC in 2015. Also in 2015, I completed the Kalish Method, a functional medicine approach to treating hormone imbalance, stress, and burnout in women and men.
During these busy times, my husband and I welcomed our twin boys Theo and Damian in 2012. We enjoy outdoor pursuits and noisy board games together. Some of my favourite times are being outdoors with my family and close friends.
About Shirley Clement
My office manager, Shirley, completed the MOA (Medical Office Assistant) program at Douglas College, and she has been working as a client care coordinator ever since. She has 8+ years’ experience working with many different functional medicine practitioners in concierge healthcare services settings, and she is invaluable to me and my patients, keeping us on schedule and seeing that the office runs smoothly and efficiently.
Prior to becoming an MOA, Shirley had over 15 years’ experience in the customer service industry as an operations manager. Her strong people skills and customer service background allow her to effectively assist me to meet all my clients’ needs.
Outside of work, Shirley enjoys playing indoor table tennis with her husband and son and taking morning walks with her mother and Kibo, their family dog. Recently, she has also been learning meditation and mindfulness, and she is keen on becoming fluent in a third language, in addition to Filipino and English.
